Eadlyn Schreave

Eadlyn is the daughter of America and Maxon Schreave. Her brothers are Ahren, Kaden and Osten. When the narrative opens, she serves as regent until her father is able to resume his role as king. By the end of the narrative, she becomes queen. In addition, she is using the Selection to find a husband.

Eadlyn is the narrative’s protagonist and narrator. She is also the narrative’s hero. Like a hero she is courageous. She goes in front of a public who does like her while she suffers from self-doubt and is worried about her mother’s health. She also shows virtuosity as she has the skill to change the momentum of a conversation. Eadlyn shows that she has this skill during the town meeting when she helps calm the participants. She does the same thing when she faces Miss Marlee, her mother, Miss Lucy...
