Chapter 3 Summary

McCoy moves into an off-compound apartment in Shanghai. He is now officially assigned to the Motor Pool so he can ride on the truck convoys to Peking. He does not let it be known that the Marince Corps paid for his apartment as part of his assignment. Muller found the apartment for him. McCoy also becomes friends with the Russian owner of the Golden Dragon Club who is called General.

McCoy hires a rickshaw to take him to the Hotel Metropole where he meets Reverend Feller and Sessions. Their vehicles have been prepared and Macklin will be in charge of the convoy.
