Summary

In “The Sisters,” Drusille got a letter from ex-king Jumart professing his love for her and telling her that he would arrive soon. Drusille beat her servant, Engadine, and told her to prepare a feast, then went up to the attic to feed her sister, Juniper, who had transformed into a half-bird vampire that was thirsty for blood and wanted to go out to see the moon. Drusille denied her both things for her own sake, and then left to meet Jumart. But she forgot to lock the door. While she was in the garden with Jumart, she realized that Juniper had escaped. She tried to take Jumart inside, but he was bewitched by Juniper and refused until the dinner bell chimed. Juniper went inside and killed Engadine while Jumart and Drusille made...
