Lucy Radcliffe

Lucy Radcliffe is Edward’s youngest sister. She was 13 when she was allowed to go with the members of the Magenta Brotherhood to spend the summer at Birchwood Manor. Lucy was very intelligent and enjoyed reading the books in the library at Birchwood. In one of these books, she discovered the plans for the house, which included two hidden compartments, intended to conceal persecuted priests. Lucy wanted to share her discovery with Edward but never got a chance to do so.

Even though Lucy did not generally like dressing up, she was excited when she was allowed to sit as a model for one of Felix’s photographs. He wanted to make a companion photograph to Edward’s painting of the model they believed was named Lily as the Fairy Queen.
