Chapter 29 Summary

The night of the riots is swept under the rug by both cities. There were casualties on both sides, however. after turning Bowden into Breach, Borlu was locked back in his cell. The next three days, the door was unlocked. Borlu spends time with Ashil during his recover.

Ashil mentions that Bowden was a student in both cities. He also says as an outsider, it gave Bowden a chance to truly determine how to walk the line between the two cities. Ashil won't tell Borlu where Bowden is now. Ashil does mention that everyone that is now in Breach came from somewhere else.

While Ashil won't allow Borlu to say goodbye to anyone, he does allow Borlu to dictate letters for a Breach avatar to write letters to Dhatt, Corwi and Borlu's two girlfriends.
