Ashil keeps insisting to Borlu that the investigation about him committing breach.

Ashil keeps saying the investigation is about Borlu's breach so that is on the record that he is not actively investigating Mahalia's murder case or the existence of Orciny. Ashil obtains the sign-in sheet for the dig, which says when someone was responsible for locking up the storage room. They cross reference the dates where Mahalia changed days with someone else. They are able to place the sniper and Syedr for each of these dates, so they rule them out as Mahalia's contact.
