Chapter 4 Summary

After a thorough investigation of the van, the lab techs don't find anything else that connects Khurusch to Fulana, except for Fulana's hair and blood. Borlu receives an anonymous phone call at his desk. Borlu can tell that the call is long distance and suspects the call is from Ul Qoma. The caller says that he knows the identity of the Detail Fulana and that he saw her picture on the posters.

The caller also says that he is only calling because her death can also lead to his own death. The caller also says she lived in Ul Qoma but was in Beszel. He says that Borlu should speak with the cells and the radicals because one of those people will know who she is. During the conversation, Borlu is writing down notes. The caller also calls Fulana, Marya.
