Chapter 2 Summary

The Inspector calls Naustin to make sure they are checking the bed mattress they found the woman underneath for trace evidence while the Inspector is riding the tram into downtown. The Inspector returns to his office in downtown Beszel. Yaszek calls the Inspector. Yaszek and Naustin were questioning the teens.

Yaszek mentions that Naustin used brute force with one of the teens. Yaszek says that one of the girls says she saw a van drive around the skate park. Then, the teen girl says the van sped off. When she tells the teen boys about the van, they go to check it out and find the dead body. The girl says the van was gray but doesn't know the make. Yaszek agrees to have the girl look at pictures of van to try to identify the make and model.
