Summary

In Chapter 51, Rachel and Pete enter the airport, buy tickets to Cleveland, and wait. Erik directs them to a specific place and tells them to order ale and clam chowder. They look around and worry that they are being targeted. A man finally approaches and identifies himself as Theseus. He is well over six feet tall and about 50 years old. Erik says they cannot possibly have weapons with them, having passed through airport security, but that they now know who he is. After a few moments, Rachel says they need to trust each other because he looks like he has been through what she went through. Erik goes through a lengthy tirade about numbers, and reveals he is a mathematician. He changes the subject to The Chain, and is pleased that they dealt with it only about a month ago.
