Chapter 14 Summary

When Qwill lunches at the FOO with Roger and Bushy, they discuss the events of the previous afternoon. Bushy recalls his negative experience with an underground builder, and Qwill realizes that Bushy also hired Iggy. Qwill admits that he has to watch Iggy every minute; he would not tolerate it, but Iggy is his last resort. The three men take Bushy's boat to Three Tree Island. They walk around the island looking for signs of the UFO landing, but a storm approaches quickly, and the boat is lost to a wave. Qwill, Roger and Bushy take shelter in a makeshift hut but the waves slap against the building as the lake rises. Instead of talking, they simply wait for the next big wave, and Qwill worries about what will happen to Koko and Yum Yum if he dies. Around 5 p.m., the waves...
