Chapter 11 Summary

Qwill, disturbed by Iggy's absence, is in no mood to write and spends Friday picking up debris from the storm. When Nick calls to tell him that a fallen tree is blockading his driveway, Qwill sees this as an explanation for Iggy's absence, and he calls Glinko to dispose of the tree. The next morning, Qwill walks to the hardware store and discusses Clem's disappearance with Cecil who informs him that Clem and his father were not getting along very well. Still worried about Iggy, Qwill phones Gary at the Black Bear Cafe, but Gary has not heard from Iggy either.
