Chapters 13, 14 and 15 Summary

After the visit to the police station, Qwilleran leaves Iris in the care of Mary and calls Riker with the news of C.C.'s death. Conversation reveals that the house where he died was once the home of a former mayor. Riker also agrees to have the Fluxion do a story on the Block Party, and to send a photographer. Qwilleran does some research, and later tells Mary that Ellsworth was rumored to have left a substantial fortune hidden somewhere in the house. As they speculate that C.C. may have been searching for the fortune and that he may have been killed by another searcher, Mary reveals that C.C. had been having an affair with Cluthra who is one of the Three Weird Sisters.
