Chapter 31 Summary

Peter asks Carrie to finish the issue of the paper so he can go to a prom committee meeting with Maggie. Carrie and Gayle switch out Peter's article for Carrie's article about the queen bee. The morning the paper comes out Carrie is very happy. She walks to Walt's house to pick him up and finds him living in a tent in his backyard because his father found out he is gay. When Carrie arrives at assembly, everyone is focused on the story about Donna in the newspaper. Ms. Smidgens summon Walt to her office to say the Pink Weatherton is a good writer and she wants to see more of his or her stuff in the paper. Donna summons Carrie to her table in the cafeteria with glee about the article in the newspaper that's all about her.
