Chapter 17 Summary

On the way to talk to the newspaper advisor, Carrie runs into Walt. When she asks where he was on Saturday, he says he's been working extra shifts, but Carrie knows this is a lie. Ms. Smidgens, The Nutmeg advisor, says they need someone to do layout. She says if Carrie does that then then can talk about her writing for the paper.

Getting ready for swim practice, Lali says she thinks Peter is going to dump Maggie. She mentions that Sebastian told her that Peter was asking Sebastian about dating Donna LaDonna. Lali invites Carrie to go to a concert and to bring Sebastian along. When Carrie says she'll ask him, Lali says she'll ask Sebastian herself.
