Summary

In Part Four, "Beetle," Chapter 40, while Vicky was at Francie's working on her essay, the building manager knocked, asking to see Francie.

In Chapter 41, while waiting for the train with Shrina, Francie thought about the butterfly inside her. Then she told Shrina there was a bug inside her. Knowing Elaine had said the same thing to Francie, Shrina insisted nothing was wrong with her. She told her she could come visit whenever she wanted. Francie said they would never see each other again.

In Chapter 42, the building manager pressed Francie about her relationship with Jose. Francie tried explaining quietly, knowing Vicky would overhear.
