Julia Robinson

Julia is the narrator and protagonist of the novel. She is nearly a high school senior now, and wants to go on to pursue acting in college. She is looking back at the events of two years ago, when she was in middle school and the 9th grade, to tell the story of her and Cassie's friendship. She is fascinated by stories and the way we create stories about ourselves and other people in order to make a world that makes sense to us.

Julia is "big-boned" with dark, curly hair and blue eyes. She has a stable and happy family, with two educated and well-off parents who care for her very much.
