Summary

In Chapter 7, at Crash’s party, Matthew noticed that the other kids seemed uneasy. One asked Crash “She check in on the app?” (64). Crash said there was nothing. Matthew slipped into the wine cellar to call his grandmother when Sutton, a girl from his class, walked in behind him. She told Matthew that Naomi was fine. Sutton was interrupted when Crash and some of his friends stormed into the wine cellar. It was at that point that Matthew had just sent the message to Wilde that something bad was happening.

Crash showed Matthew what was playing on his cell phone, pointing to it with the finger on which he wore a ring with a smiling skull. Matthew wondered if he had secretly hoped that his grandmother would put something about Naomi on her show. He tried to pretend that he did not...
