Book 1 Chapter 4 Summary

The Patient is on an Air France flight to Zurich. There is a lot of turbulence on the plane, and the passengers are frightened. He recalls what the doctor told him, to observe himself in stressful situations. The way he reacts in these situations may tell him more about himself. As the plane shakes, the man has flashbacks to his past, seeing himself parachuting out of a plane. The image becomes stronger, and he wonders where and why this happened. The man looks at his newly altered passport. His new name is George P. Washburn. He spends some time getting comfortable with the name and looks forward to getting to Zurich.
