Summary

Chapter Eight starts with a new planning page for May 11th, where Nina marks a goal of eating more vegetables. The narration moves ahead one week to Author’s Evening on Saturday night at the bookstore. Liz says the book is called Unleash Your Inner Animal by Theodore Edwards. He explains his book is meant to push people to reconnect with their wild sides. The older women in the room begin growling and prowling, much to Nina’s horror. Afterwards, Nina heads out with her camera, remember the photography lessons from her mother. The narrator describes the growth of Los Angeles from the peaceful tribes to the movie industry.
