Chapter 21 – A Burnt Ship

When the Warden saw Paige in her red jacket, for a fleeting second she saw fear in his eyes. He was worried about what she told Nashira. Paige assured the Warden that she kept his secrets. She asked him if he drank amaranth for his scars. He claimed it was just for old wounds. The Warden was surprised that Nashira would send Paige back to the same place she got her from. Paige explained that Nashira wanted her to lure out members of the Seven Seals. She thought they had a dreamwalker. Paige told him that three red-jackets would be going and one Rephaite – Situla Mesarthim – in addition to the Warden. The Warden said that she was no friend of his. She was probably picked to keep an eye on him.
