Chapter 11 – Of Weeping

XX-12 summoned Paige to talk with him. The Warden left a note for her to find out what she could about the Emim. If she had to research them, she must be destined to face them. David was XX-12’s name. Since he was a red-jacket, he should not be seen talking to her. He told Paige to pretend that he was bringing her in for questioning. They walked toward a large domed building. David said the harlies call it the Room. David led her to a church and climbed up the staircase to a balcony under the crumbling steeple.
