Chapter 3 – Confined

Paige was in pain, trying to force the poison from her body but to no avail. She wanted her misery to end. Death was better. Flux kept circulating in her bloodstream – it didn’t go away. She heard a voice order the antidote. They wanted her alive. When she woke later, there was no pain. She envisioned that she was in a prison with other voyants. She was alone and naked in a dark dank room. She was shivering and still weak.

A woman entered the room. She was a voyant but one that Paige had never encountered before. She had yellow eyes and an unusual aura. She slapped Paige when she refused to take the pills she gave her.
