Summary

In Chapter 33, Nell encourages Berg to go back to rehab. Berg does not want to move, because he wants to continue working with Alejandro. When Berg returns to the shop, Alejandro takes Berg outside and tells him about Szerbiak's death. After he died, Alejandro threw himself into his work, trying to avoid his pain. He tells Berg he needs to look at his life head-on.

In Chapter 33, Alejandro is furious when Pat is convicted. The same winter, Nell goes back on tour. Berg continues to suffer headaches and extreme shame for what happened. Uffa is simultaneously struggling, devastated when Demeter plans to move to New York. Alejandro returns to his old ocean-farming plans, losing himself in a new obsession. One day, Berg finds Alejandro by the water examining seaweed. He tries to ask him for a missing tool in the shop, and Alejandro...
