Chapters 14-16 Summary

Harry goes to speak to a representative at the Medfly Eradication Project Center. Harry learns mostly what he already knew, about how the fruit flies were dyed and then irradiated to make them sterile so that when they were released in Southern California they would eventually cause a decline in the native fruit fly population. However, Harry also is able to see how the flies are transported from Mexico to California. The flies are packed in sausage like casings and then placed in containers large enough to hide a body. The containers are not opened after they leave the facility because they are packed under the watchful eye of an USDA inspector.

Harry gets a call to meet Rickard at the Hall of Justice after he visits Teresa and finds her extremely upset with him, aware that he released the information...
