Summary

In Chapter 30, Hollis asked Silas if they could go to Isolte to visit Valentina. She told him she had just had her third miscarriage and needed to be comforted. Silas said he could never go to Isolte without risking his life. Hollis said she understood and wrote a letter to her parents, begging them to reconsider and come to her wedding.

In Chapter 31, Hollis and Silas were married. Hollis was delighted to finally have made Silas her husband. She was also thrilled to be a part of his family, as she had come to love them all as individuals. Her parents came to the wedding, which made Hollis happy, though their conversation was stiff and uncomfortable. Hollis and Lady Eastoffe took a walk through the field. Lady Eastoffe gave Hollis a sapphire ring that had been passed down through their family for generations...
