Soulmates

The main theme of "The Best of Me" rests on the idea of soulmates. Tuck Hostetler was married for more than three decades to his beloved Clara. They had a wonderful marriage despite the fact that they were never blessed with children. This match survived many things, including Tuck's deployment to Europe during World War II and his near death when his ship was in battle.
