Chapters 7-9 Summary

Chapter 7. Dawson returns to his bed and breakfast for breakfast. Dawson saw Abee on the street and wonders if he should worry about his family. Later, Dawson goes to the cemetery and places flowers on Dr. David Bonner's grave. At the same time, Amanda is at a local coffee shop. Amanda's cellphone rings. Amanda speaks to her daughter, Lynn, then calls her son, Jared. Finally Amanda calls her husband and learns that he plans to golf that weekend, a situation that always leads to drinking. Dawson joins Amanda and they walk together to the lawyer's office.

The lawyer tells Amanda and Dawson that Tuck carefully instructed him on everything he should do upon Tuck's death. This turns out to include cremating Tuck's body. Dawson and Amanda are instructed to take Tuck's ashes to a cabin he owned in Vandemere. Tuck gave...
