Cabarrus

Cabarrus is the former chief minister of Westmark. He is power hungry and cruel. Mickle and Theo remember him well; when they were younger he was the figure of their nightmares. He thinks of Mickle as a revolutionary that should be punished for betraying the throne. Cabarrus knew Mickle's identity as heir to the throne before she did. He tried to kill her when she was still a child by throwing her into the Vespera, the river that runs by the city of Marianstat. Cabbarus was exiled after the war, but Duke Conrad brings him back in a plan to overtake Westmark and make it serve the throne of Regia instead of being independent. Cabarrus is a dangerous man.
