Grant

Grant is a retired professor of Nordic and Anglo-Saxon literature. He lives in Ontario, Canada, and for the bulk of the story, he is about 70 years old. He met Fiona when they were both attending the same university as students, and they married. While Grant was a professor, he had several affairs with female students of his.
