Summary

Chapter sixteen is the first chapter of part two. In chapter sixteen, the woman in Kayla's hospital room begins having convulsions and she crashes to the floor. The staff's attention is focused fully on the woman and they put her onto a gurney and take her out of the room. Kayla takes advantage of the situation and forces herself to stand up. She leaves the room, planning only to get out of the hospital. Kayla admits that running might be futile but says she is only focused on getting as much distance as possible between her and the doctor who is about to administer the tattoo.
