Summary

In the morning, a note is delivered to Lord Doyle asking him to stop by a hotel executive’s office to discuss his winnings. He met with the man, who showed him a tally of how much he had won. The executive could not believe Doyle’s luck and assumed he was a high roller. The man questioned Doyle about his background, but Doyle told him nothing. Finally, the man got to the point of the meeting and admitted that a Chinese executive had seen a ghost standing behind Doyle in one of the surveillance videos. Because of their superstitious nature, the executive said hotel staff were asking Doyle not to play at that casino again, not because they were afraid of losing, he said, but because they were afraid of the spirit world.
