Summary

MacIan, Turnbull, and the woman finally reach the sea. When they get there, they see a house and the woman informs them that it is her father’s house and that they may leave her here if they wish to take the car and continue on with their business. MacIan asks repeatedly why the woman saved them from the police, and she says she is not sure why. Eventually, she reasons that she wanted them to be able to finish their fight. She invites them to her father’s house if they wish to rest before their duel.

Rather than follow her, MacIan and Turnbull instead take the path down to the sea. Along the beach they find an opening amongst the rocks of the cliff side that they decide is the perfect location for their duel. The spot is surrounded...
