The Glendoveer Mansion

The Glendoveer mansion is the main setting in the story. It is located in Lockhaven, Maine, a seaport town. The mansion, once a grand and elegant home to the Glendoveer family, has become run down and in need of repair. Several of its rooms have been closed off and are no longer used. The interior of the mansion is decorated with souvenirs gathered from around the world during the time George and Cenelia Glendoveer traveled with their magic show. The house is arts and crafts in style. The main character, Clara, loves everything about the old house despite the fact that it is well past its prime with George Glendoveer long dead and Cenelia in poor health.
