Summary

In Chapter 16, Viola has heard nothing from Mistress Coyle or Prentiss for three weeks. She is thinking to herself that she has to do something to keep herself from going crazy when Todd knocks at her window. They decide to run away. Todd wonders if they can go join the Answer where they are hiding. When Viola says she does not know where they are, Todd believes she is not telling him because she does not trust him. She tells him that she thinks they are at the ocean but then realizes it is all over Todd’s Noise. Viola watches as Todd realizes he has been tricked.
