Summary

Chapter 3 opens as the man awakens to find the creature on his bed. The man showers and shaves, and grabs a map on the way out of his new home. The creature trails closely behind him.

As the man struggles to read the map, the view zooms out to reveal just how large the city is. The man approaches a woman for help, who also has a creature by her side. She shows the man how to use a nearby device in order to get a ticket for an airship. The man sits next to the woman and her owl-like creature on the airship, and as they talk, they realize they are both immigrants.
