Alexander “Sandy” Duplessis, a.k.a. Journeyman

Alexander “Sandy” Duplessis is the story’s main character. After college, he moved with his friend and classmate, Peter Todbaum, to Los Angeles. There, they attempted to gain traction in the film industry. Sandy worked as a screenwriter, and Todbaum worked as a producer. However, they struggled for years, with no tangible success. Sandy began to feel alienated from Todbaum after an incident in which Todbaum sexually assaulted Sandy’s sister. They eventually stopped working together, after which point, Todbaum gained success in the industry. One day, Sandy went to visit Maddy at her home in Tinderwick, Maine, and during that time, the Arrest occurred, leaving Sandy to live there.

Sandy eventually took on the name Journeyman, as his role in Tinderwick became that of a delivery person. Journeyman never felt fully accepted by the community, but he never felt ostracized by...
