The author goes on to provide a further explanation of the rest of the devils and associated difficulties with them. He describes airy spirits and fiery ones. Much of this makes sense if people think in relation to the weather and natural events. Most people are also familiar with living people who are said to have "fiery temperaments," who are more emotional, or more easily provoked to anger. In the more extreme expressions of this temperament people may be abusive, or otherwise prone to violence or other forms of rage. Some will be like that their whole lives; others will either find that the fire eventually goes out or it flares up, like yesterday's coals turning into the source of the hearth fires the next day.
