Chapter 30, 31, and 32 Summary

In Chapter 30, the Earth's magnetic field is altered. Some hear it, Julia's mother has her most severe case of sickness yet at the same time. It is believed that a rift in the magnetic field that once protected the Earth has allowed radiation into the atmosphere. Humans are warned to avoid all exposure to the sun as the risk of radiation is higher. People only begin to go out at night. Julia's mother will only let her out of the house during the day to go to school. As soon as the sun sets, Seth arrives at her door and the two spend all the time they can together before the next sunrise.
