Summary

In Chapter 10, Freda brings documents she stole from Colonel Morgan’s briefcase to Albert at a house where she finds the feral children are also gathered. The reader now realizes that Berti (from the Ozi and Edmund scenes) is Freda’s Albert. She goes upstairs to give him the documents. He is pleased with her and they have sex. Afterwards, she asks for an 88 tattoo and he burns it into her forearm with a cigarette. She asks why he takes drugs; he says it helps keep him alert during his missions. Back at the house, Stefan, Freda, Rachel, Edmund, and the servants watch a Mickey Mouse movie together on Christmas Eve.
