Chapter 53

Cassie wakes to find Evan gone. Cassie struggles with her feelings for Evan. She is confused as to whether she should trust him or not. Cassie hears someone out in the hall. She bursts through the door with her gun ready to fire. It is only Evan. Cassie tells him they should work out a signal when he is lurking. Evan tells Cassie that he had gone to Lauren’s grave, but Cassie notices that his hands smell like gunpowder.
