Chapter 7 Summary

Haven continually runs into Sumner, partly because he has so many jobs, but she always thinks that it might be fate; he was meant to come back into her life and fix or change something. Ashley and Lewis fight and make up almost daily, and Haven finds it easier to like Lewis now that he is also suffering. With two weeks until the wedding, Mom and Ashley frantically go over the final plans. Mom chides Ashley for commenting that Haven has probably outgrown her dress because she knows Haven is sensitive about her height. Mom also lectures Ashley about her attitude concerning the wedding. Being stressed does not entitle her to be rude and selfish, and Mom wants Ashley to know how her behavior is affecting everyone else.
