Though the attraction between Megan and Patrick is instant and impacts both, they are each harboring some doubts about the level of the relationship and their willingness to commit to that level. In Megan's case, the problem is that she's had bad relationships in the past and has officially sworn off men. She tells Patrick that almost from the beginning, saying that she was engaged three times—but that the first probably didn't count because she and the boy were only five years old. However, the remaining two relationships were enough to convince Megan that she isn't capable of holding a relationship together. In one of those cases, she was literally left at the altar in front of some two hundred guests. The humiliation remains part of Megan's life and she has the wedding.....
