Summary

In Chapter 3, Tausolo Aieti, knows he is making progress when he is able to keep himself from turning away from the psychologist when she tells the men at his graduation ceremony from the inpatient PTSD program at Topeka’s VA hospital that Tausolo is a hero. The three other men in the program are veterans from Vietnam who still battle with PTSD. The particular program Tausolo has attended has focused on getting the soldier to concentrate on what he did right during his time at war instead of what he did not do or was not able to do.
