Chapter 6 Summary

Before the brothers leave town, they decide to visit Lem's house. There, they meet Lem's new baby before Lem takes them for a ride in his new car. Mason asks Lem what he has been doing, and Lem admits that he works as a "go-between," selling drugs. Mason tells him that this is a stupid thing to do. After they return to Lem's apartment, the brothers leave, and Tex realizes that he will probably never see Lem again. He feels sad about this, as he has known Lem his whole life.
