Mr. J.L.B. Matekoni

Mr. J.L.B. Matekoni is the proprietor of the Tlokweng Road Speedy Motors. He had grown up in Molepolole. He is a mechanic by trade. Matekoni lives in a house near the airfield and prison. He is forty-five years old at the time of his engagement to Mma Ramotswe and is a believer in traditional Botswan values. He is worried about the expense of a diamond engagement ring but is willing to spend whatever he has to to make Mma Ramotswe happy.
