Paul Fisher

Paul is the younger of two sons. When he is twelve, his family moves from their home in Houston to Tangerine County, Florida. There, Paul is looking forward to joining the soccer team at the Lake Windsor Middle School. He is accepted to the team but then denied the opportunity to play because he is legally blind. Paul is devastated by the news. When he later has the opportunity to transfer to another school with a clean slate, he does so and is accepted on that soccer team though he's fully aware that he's going to be only a substitute. Paul is adaptable in that he starts his term at Tangerine Middle School with no expectations, which probably made him more readily accepted than he might otherwise have been.
