Summary

When Alice woke from a nightmare the next morning, John’s side of the bed was empty. She remembered that he had left for Fez with his friend Charlie. There was no sign of Lucy. Alice spent a fitful day and night contemplating her broken marriage. She woke in the morning to a knock at the door. It was a colleague of John’s asking for him. She told him that her husband was in Fez, but he seemed to doubt her. Worried, she began searching for Charlie’s contact information when Lucy suddenly appeared. She told Alice that she had not taken her harsh words to heart, and that she would not be going anywhere.
