Summary

Kiwi sat in the parking lot of the World of Darkness and watched Vijay smoke marijuana. His fellow workers at the amusement park called him Margaret Mead or variations of the name because they’d found one of her books in Kiwi’s locker. Kiwi was being paid $5.75 an hour as a janitor at the amusement park. For a while Kiwi was in charge of vacuuming the front hall but had messed up that job when he broke the vacuum cleaner by running over his own shoelaces with it. Vijay told Kiwi to just tell Carl about the accident, that he wouldn’t get fired. Kiwi didn’t get fired but he got put in charge of cleaning the bathroom.
