Chapter 15 Summary

The next morning after breakfast, the group searches for the rock painting that the narrator had mentioned. David and Joe want to take pictures of it for their movie. They don't realize the significance of the rock painting as it concerns the narrator's father. They do not find the rock painting. They do run into a couple of men that they mistake for Americans, but who are actually Canadians. The narrator does not care that they were Canadians; she still believes they killed that bird. The group packs up the campsite and heads back to the cabin.

Chapter 15 Analysis

The narrator is confused that they do not find the rock painting. She thinks that perhaps she had read the map wrong. She resolves to look for one of the other rock paintings identified on her father's map.
