Chapter 11 Summary
Joe ignores her for the rest of the night and the next morning. After breakfast, Paul arrives by boat with another man. The man's name is Bill Malstrom, an American who wants to buy her father's property. He tells her that he has already taken it upon himself to take a tour of the island. She refuses to sell. She pulls Paul aside and shares her belief that her father is alive. She does not tell him that she believes her father is out in the woods watching them. When David finds out that an American wants to buy the property, he once again proposes that the people of Canada rise up and drive all the Americans out of the country.
